The traffic here looks ordinary, yet it feels like only crazy rich asians can afford driving around. The cost of car ownership is prohibitive and then there is the ERP, a kind of dynamic automatic congestion charge. Marina Bay is a 1 km by ½ km body of water next to Singapore River and it’s all happening around it: the financial district, Merlion Park, Marina Bay Sands, Esplanade and much more.

Gardens by the Bay is a fascinating nature park complex and Singapore tourism’s trump card since 2012. It includes multiple attractions like Flower Dome, Cloud Forest and most famously, the Supertrees. Every evening, the gardens host a breathtaking light and music show.
